EDI-CON: Boston MA, 2016 & 2017

Lighthouse had a 10' x 10' corner booth at the 2016 and 2017 EDI-CON Conference and Trade Show Exhibitions in Boston, MA.  Lighthouse featured its original, unique, creative and highly successful O-scale (1/48), Desert Storm military base-train display with: a scaled model Cell Tower, High Voltage-Power Line Tower, Water-Tank Supply and Flood-Light Towers, RF-MW Antennas and Towers, Radars, and a Missile Launcher. Additionally, there are: Power Supply Sub-Station, RF Power-Amplifier Calibration, EMI Shielding Test-Lab and Fiber Optic Cable Assembly Test Lab buildings as well as an EMI Over-Molded & Machine-Braided Cable Assembly Depot. **PCB Depot is located on images 20-25 within this gallery.

 

The display included 1/48 scale models of our New England territory end customers products: BAE* JSF-35 and AC-130* aircraft , UTC-Sikorsky UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter and Raytheon rail-mounted Patriot Missile Launcher, Patriot Radar, THAAD AN/TPY-2 Radar, as well as a tower-mounted UEWR and AN/SPS-49 radars.  Our principals actual size, products will be displayed concurrently, in contrast to the 1/48 scale model train-military base display.

For both years, Lighthouse received many valuable sales leads which resulted in new designs and new purchase orders for both existing and new customers.

Boston Bio-Med & New England Design 2018

Lighthouse has exhibited at this show since 2005. Prior to the show moving to the Boston Convention Center over 10 years ago, this show was located at the Worcester Centrum, now named the DCU Center in downtown Worcester MA. At this year's show, April 18-19, Lighthouse changed the booth display format from the previous multiple principal display, to this year only focusing on one principal and displaying only Platt Cases. Our 10' x 10' corner booth was highly successful and Lighthouse was commended for having the best booth at the show.

 

Over 50 sales leads were received this year, 70% were Medical and 30% were Industrial. 25% of the leads were from out of the New England territory: PA, NY, NJ, OH and MN. Only one week after the show, as a result of show leads, Lighthouse has already booked an order from a new customer for Platt. This year, Lighthouse displayed over-sized model cases and water-jet cut foam samples concurrently in contrast against the 1/48 scale train, industrial park and drive-in theater display.

Fiber-Fest is a local table top trade show featuring Fiber Optic component manufacturers as well as test equipment manufacturers.  The show has previously been located Westford MA and Boxborough MA.

 

Lighthouse Technical Sales has exhibited at multiple Design To Part trade shows in Marlborough MA. Lighthouse has featured its Platt Cases/Lighthouse Railroad Marshaling Yard O-scale (1/48) display. Other "Themed" O-Scale Model Train-Industrial Park displays have been orientated to displays, specifically for PCB Manufacturers, have utilized PCB: roadways, parking lots, loading docks and roof tops as well as a PCB Depot building. *Previous to 2014, Lighthouse used an HO scale (1/87) model train display. In 2014, Lighthouse changed the scale of the model train display to the larger O scale (1/48).
